What sets the price of a porta potty rental?

Five things set the price: your location, the unit type, the dates, how often it is serviced, and how many units you order. Distance adds the most for sites 50 or more miles out. A second unit on the same trip shares the delivery charge.

  1. Location. Montgomery County sites are on daily routes. Sites past about 50 miles may carry a distance charge.
  2. Unit type. ADA, flushing and trailer units cost more because they are larger and fewer.
  3. Dates. Same-day, Saturday or timed delivery adds a charge. Weekend events dropped Friday add nothing.
  4. Servicing. Weekly service is included on long rentals. Twice-weekly or mid-event cleaning is extra.
  5. Quantity. Delivery is charged per site, not per unit, so 4 units cost less each than 1.

What other charges can appear?

A quote can include a same-day rush charge, extra service visits, a generator or water tank for a trailer, and Maryland sales tax. Damage and dry-run charges apply only when something goes wrong. Every charge that applies to you is written on your quote before you pay.

Worked example: a 120-guest graduation party

A 120-guest graduation party lasting 6 hours with food needs 4 standard units and 2 hand wash stations. At typical prices that is 4 × $175–$265 plus 2 × $110–$185, so about $920 to $1,430 before tax, with Friday drop-off and Monday pickup included.

This example is hypothetical. Run your own numbers with the porta potty calculator, then call for an exact quote.

How 28-day billing works for long rentals

Long-term porta potty rentals bill in 28-day cycles, so a year has 13 cycles. The first cycle includes the one-time delivery charge. Each later cycle is the flat rate with weekly service. The rental renews until you call for pickup, and no new cycle is billed after that call.

Full terms are on the rental terms page.

More questions about this

Is the porta potty price per day?

Event prices are per event, not per day. A Friday drop and Monday pickup costs the same as a one-day rental. Long rentals are priced per 28-day cycle.

Is delivery included in the price?

Event prices include delivery and pickup. Long-term rentals add a one-time delivery charge on the first cycle that covers every unit on the site.

Is the delivery fee per unit or per order?

Delivery is charged per site, so 1 unit and 5 units on the same site share one delivery charge.

Do you charge a fuel surcharge or card fee?

Any charge that applies is printed on the quote before you pay. You will not see a new line item appear after the order is confirmed.

Is there a discount for several units?

Orders of 3 or more units share one delivery charge, which lowers the cost per unit. Churches, schools and nonprofits can ask for invoice terms.

Can I lock in the current price for a date next year?

A booking holds the quoted price for that date. Cancel at least 24 hours before delivery for a full refund.
