How does event porta potty delivery work?
Weekend event porta potties are delivered on Friday and picked up on Monday for one flat event price. Weekday events get delivery the business day before and pickup the business day after. The extra days cost nothing, and you never pay by the hour.
If a park or venue will not allow a drop-off the day before, same-day delivery and same-day pickup can be scheduled for an added charge. Montgomery Parks events need set drop and pickup times, so share the permit window when you book.
How many porta potties for a party?
A party of up to 4 hours needs 1 standard porta potty per 50 guests. Events of 4 to 8 hours need about 1 per 35 guests. When alcohol is served, add 1 unit for every 3 in the table. Public events also need accessible units and hand washing.
| Event | Guests | Suggested setup |
|---|---|---|
| Backyard birthday, 4 hours | 40 | 1 standard unit |
| Graduation party, 6 hours | 120 | 4 standard + 2 hand wash stations |
| Church picnic, 5 hours | 200 | 6 standard + 1 ADA + 3 hand wash |
| Block party, 6 hours with beer | 150 | 7 standard + 1 ADA |
| 5K race, 3 hours at the start area | 500 | 10 standard + 1 ADA + 3 hand wash |

Event permits around Gaithersburg
A private backyard party needs no permit for a porta potty. A Gaithersburg block party under 200 people needs a city permit filed at least 2 weeks ahead, and the site plan shows where the porta johns stand. Public events in Montgomery County need a special event permit filed 30 days ahead.
Frederick County outdoor events require a signed service agreement with the portable toilet company. We send that agreement the same day you book. Details for each county are in the permit guide and the Gaithersburg block party checklist.

Parties & events: questions before you book
Do weekends cost more?
Weekend events cost the same as weekday events. The unit is dropped on Friday and picked up on Monday at no added charge.
My party is only 3 hours. Do I pay the full rate?
Event pricing is a flat package, not hourly. It covers delivery, a stocked unit for your event and pickup, whether the party runs 3 hours or 3 days.
Can I add another unit if more people RSVP?
Units can be added up to the day before delivery, and often on the delivery day. Call as soon as your count goes up.
What if someone damages the unit over the weekend?
Normal use is covered. Damage from vandalism, fire or tipping is billed at repair cost. A free padlock keeps the unit closed when no one is around.
Can you deliver to a park or a field without an address?
Units can go to parks, farms and fields with no street address. Send a map pin or GPS coordinates and the name of the nearest gate or lot.
Do you offer discounts for churches or nonprofits?
Churches, schools and nonprofits with 3 or more units get one delivery charge for the whole order. Ask about invoice payment for board approval.
